Drew Williams
Author of
Night Terrors |
Born and raised in
McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Drew Williams is the author of Night
Terrors which the Pittsburgh Press calls "reminiscent of Stephen
King and just as scary." A life long fan of horror fiction, movies, and
just about anything else that went bump in the night, Drew is the author
of dozens of short stories and articles that deal with creepy stuff.
Drew's story "Soon on Video" won first place in the Dark Moon Rising
Halloween Fiction Contest for 2000, and his story,
"Riding the Dragon,"
was named Best Flash Fiction at the World Horror Convention in 2002. Most recently,
three stories appearing in Spectres and Darkness, a collection of short
fiction Drew wrote with horror novelist, Joseph Nassise received
Honorable Mention in this year's Best of Fantasy and Horror, Volume 16.
When not trying to scare his readers, Drew teaches Creative Writing and
Drama at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. Having
received his Ph.D. in Literary Criticism in 1993, Drew has also authored
two academic books and a number of literary articles. In those few
moments he's not at the keyboard, Drew spends most of his time relaxing in his home in
Fuquay-Varina, watching the cartoon network with his wife, Cathi and
their two children, Elizabeth and Robert. Drew also has a cool website
