Stephen Scott Nicholson Scott Nicholson’s first novel "The Red Church" was released as a mass market paperback from Pinnacle Books and was selected for three book-of-the-month clubs. He’s published over 40 stories in six different countries. His story collection "Thank You For The Flowers," released in 2000, was recommended for the Bram Stoker Award. His novel "The Harvest" was released in September, 2003. Nicholson won the grand prize in the international Writers of the Future contest in 1999. That same year, he was first runner-up for the Darrell Award and his work was recommended for both the Stoker and Nebula Awards. He studied Creative Writing at Appalachian State University and UNC-Chapel Hill. He currently serves as secretary for the southeastern chapter of the Mystery Writers of America. Nicholson was born in Mooresville, NC, and has lived in numerous NC towns, including Goldsboro, Asheboro, Sylva, Taylorsville, Forest City, Gastonia, and Tryon. He works as a journalist in the Blue Ridge mountains near Boone, NC. His former jobs include carpenter, dishwasher, musician, house painter, radio announcer, and baseball card shop owner. Nicholson has also written numerous articles on writing, and his website www.hauntedcomputer.com features a number of author interviews, articles, and fiction.
